“It’s the little resolutions you make each and every day that truly count.”
It’s a little past 9pm EST and the countdown begins… 2016 is less than 3 hours away (or has already come for those on the other side of the world!) and I am excited. Oftentimes I find myself focusing on negative things that happen throughout my day or week, that I completely disregard the positive things that happen. I think we should all take a moment to reflect on the good things that have occurred today, yesterday, and throughout 2015.
A wise friend once told me, “You only notice the negative things that are happening in your life because there are too many positive things to keep track of.” And at first, I didn’t really believe him, but after giving it more thought, he was right. Some of us keep track of the bad things we encounter throughout the day, but we forget to be grateful for the good things that cross our paths because there are too many to count.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year! While many New Yorkers may be out partying tonight at the club or watching the ball drop in Times Square, I’ll be cozying up at home with my Sorbet and Champagne cocktail that fellow blogger Cassandra from @ForTheLoveofBlonde has so kindly shared in her December post. 🙂
